light box
My new light box came in the mail on Friday. It’s keen! It folds up into a wee little pouch, and comes with four different colored backgrounds that velcro into it. It’s actually kind of bigger than I expected it to be, but I’m not really complaining. I picked up a couple of five dollar desk lamps to give me additional side lighting.

The setup is mostly for product photography for Anapurna — beads, pendants, that sort of thing. I tend to prefer a more natural-looking background for food photography, so I’ve been using countertops, cutting boards, tables, whatever. I may use the light box to play around with artsy produce photos, though. All in all I’m pretty pleased with my purchase — it only cost me 25 dollars with shipping included, and it seems like it’s going be really fun to play with.
